Folksy?

So today I decided that I was getting ignored on Etsy and signed up for a Folksy:

People seem a lot more interested in looking at everyone elses stuff.

It's also all in pounds because it's UK based so it means I don't have to hurt my brain trying to work out $ into £.

Not much on it yet. I don't want to take anything off Etsy but I'm taking a lot of my things to the show THIS THURSDAAY so whatever I don't sell can go online.

Just printed

I think I'll sell them at the show and put some on my etsy.

They're not the most sophisticated prints but I think they look pretty good on the card.. maybe?

I have nothing new to show you or to say really.

Still working on stuff for the show and waiting for my totes from clever baggers.

I just wanted to say that I tried the Seattle Latte cup thing from Starbucks today and it is now my favourite thing ever. The end.

I just went a bit mental.

Basically I wanted a new design to print on bags for the show so I thought I'd try a heart like the one I used for one of my drawing modules.

Thought I'd only use a few scraps of paper but ended up using loads and then digging through that box of scrap paper that many art students have that's full of endless patterned paper you couldn't bare to throw away..

I'm not really sure it would work on a bag.. but it looks quite nice on the paper.. might mount them or something..

Private view is 6-9pm on the 3rd and I'll be invigilating on the Monday if you can't make the Thursday.

Or just go when I'm not there to see everyone's lovely work.

Now I've handed in everything for assessment I'm trying to do as many drawings as possible for the show in June.. but it is all secret stuff.. so no drawings for the blog. Just pugs. Amazing pugs..

I also have two others, one is a bit botched and looks like a double vision pug and the other one I didn't press down hard enough. Might just give them away or painted over them..

So..

Not the best.. but that is okay.

I think clamps are pretty essential but I don't want to screw into my screen.

Might try it on a bag once everything has dried.

Maybe next week I'll go CRAZY and try printing something other than dogs.

EXCITED. I think I'm too excited and that means I'm going to muck it up..

Today in the post I got my screen cleaner, fade marker, clamps (though I'm not sure they're the right ones after all the searching) and some retarder.

Thought I'd try and test it today though I might have to just hold the screen down myself somehow..

So far I just drew a quick ..dog..obviously.. and painted over it with drawing fluid. Waiting for it to dry and then I have to spread screen filler over the whole screen with my trusty new squeegee.

I'm a bit scared..wish me luck.
